We live in a minimalist way, without too much clutter, and we’re quite strict about not letting too many things into the house. We’d rather have fewer items than the wrong ones. We only keep things we truly use and love. We buy furniture that we can see ourselves living with for many years to come. That’s why quality matters – we prefer solid, lasting materials. I care deeply about the materials we choose for our home and I’m fascinated by the way they can be combined.

I decorate based on moods, and I really appreciate the warm and calm atmosphere in our house. It should feel welcoming and pleasing to the eye as you move through our home. The materials are allowed to take centre stage – and that’s just how I like it. They become a natural part of the interior. I think it’s important to choose materials that suit the architecture of the house – something that will last for many years and can reappear in different ways across different rooms.

Our home is, first and foremost, our family base. It needs to be a place where both children and adults feel at home. We love calm surroundings and beautiful furniture, but we always prioritise lots of floor space for playing and running around. Every piece of furniture is meant to be used and lived in – including by the children. I love furniture made from honest materials that develop a patina over time. Quality pieces can handle that just fine. I want our home to give a sense of calm – but most of all, it matters that my family is here.
